After graduating from high school in 1958, Gloria studied business in Salt Lake City before working in a Boise office.  She soon met her husband, Philip, a non-Basque who quickly immersed himself in the culture.  The couple was married in 1962, and has raised four children.

Today, Gloria loves attending Basque cultural events with her family.  She has traveled to Europe and Japan, and made her first trip to the Basque Country in 2002.  She is a proud member of the Gooding Basque Association, and hopes to learn some Euskera over the coming years.
