He worked as a camp tender, and has vivid memories of chasing his nomadic sheep dog until he wore out his shoes.  Victor's job was made even more difficult when he and the sheepherder lost the horses and mule.

After returning from service in World War II, Victor married and started working as a water master.  He has held a variety of jobs since then, settling in Fallon, Nevada with his wife, Neva, and three children.  Victor's children show great interest in the Basque culture, and he hopes that the culture will survive and flourish.
